Miss La Sen with DHAMMAPADA SUTRA- Kinh Pháp Cú

Miss La Sen with DHAMMAPADA SUTRA- Kinh Pháp Cú

FOUR FACTORS OF HAPPINESS

Blessed is the birth of Buddhas,
blest True Dhamma’s Teaching,
blest the Sangha’s harmony
and blessed is their striving.
Verse 194 – DHAMMAPADA SUTRA

[Hạnh phúc thay đức Phật ra đời, hạnh phúc thay diễn nói Chánh pháp ; hạnh phúc thay Tăng già hòa hợp, hạnh phúc thay dõng tiến đồng tu.]

 THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE BUDDHA

Every evil never doing
and in wholesomeness increasing
and one’s heart well-purifying:
this is the Buddha’s Teaching.
Verse 183
DHAMMAPADA SUTRA

[183.     Chớ làm điều ác, gắng làm việc lành, giữ tâm ý trong sạch. Ấy, lời chư Phật dạy.]

NOBLE GUIDELINES

Not reviling, neither harming,
restrained to limit ‘freedom’s’ way,
knowing reason in one’s food,
dwelling far in solitude,
and striving in the mind sublime:
this is the Buddha’s Teaching.
Verse 185
DHAMMAPADA SUTRA

FOUR RARE OPPORTUNITIES

Human birth is hard to gain,
hard for mortals is their life,
to come to Dhamma True is hard,
rare the Buddha’s arising.
Verse 182. DHAMMAPADA SUTRA

[182.     Được sinh làm người là khó, được sống trọn đời còn khó hơn, được nghe Chánh pháp là khó, được gặp Phật ra đời là khó.]

Therefore, the practitioner,
After the Buddha’s extinction,
On hearing this Sutra,
Should not give rise to doubts,
But should, with a single mind,
Extensively proclaim this Sutra,
So that life after life he may meet the Buddhas
And quickly realize the Buddha Way.”

Lotus sutra- chapter 20

Miss La Sen is reading SHURANGAMA SUTRA

”When the wonderful perfection is completely true, that essential truth brings about a transformation. They go beyond the beginningless habits to reach the one essential brightness. Relying solely on this essential brightness, they progress toward true purity. This is called the Mind of Vigor. 7:31

”The essence of the mind reveals itself as total wisdom; this is called the Mind that Resides in Wisdom. 7:32

”As the wisdom and brightness are held steadfast, a profound stillness pervades. The stage at which the majesty of this stillness becomes constant and solid is called the Mind that Resides in Samadhi. 7:32

”The light of samadhi emits brightness. When the essence of the brightness enters deeply within, they only advance and never retreat. This is called the Mind of Irreversibility. 7:35

SHURANGAMA SUTRA

“Moreover, Contemplator of the World’s Sounds Bodhisattva, in the future good men or women may have to enter mountain forests, cross rivers, seas, or other large bodies of water, or take dangerous routes either for the sake of earning their own livelihood, or for public or personal affairs, matters of life and death, or other urgent business.

Such people should first recite the name of Earth Store Bodhisattva a full ten thousand times.

The ghosts and spirits of the lands they pass through will then guard and protect them in their walking, standing, sitting, and lying down.

The peace and happiness of those people will constantly be preserved, so that even if they encounter tigers, wolves, lions, or any other harmful or poisonous creatures, they will not be harmed.”

The Buddha told Contemplator of the World’s Sounds Bodhisattva, “Earth Store Bodhisattva has deep affinities with beings in Jambudvipa.

Hundreds of thousands of eons would not be time enough to describe the benefits derived by beings who see this Bodhisattva and hear his name.

Therefore, Contemplator of the World’s Sounds Bodhisattva, you should use your spiritual powers to propagate this sutra, thus enabling beings in the Saha world to enjoy peace and happiness always, throughout hundreds of millions of eons.”

The sutra of EARTH STORE Bodhisattva [KSITIGARBHA BODHISATTVA]
---------

THE DIAMOND SUTRA
(VAJRACCHEDIKA PRAJNAPARAMITA SUTRA)
Kinh Kim Cương

If via form (one) looks for the Tathagata
Or via the sound of the voice beseeches me,
This person walks a corrupt path.
And is unable to recognize the Tathagata.

[Tìm ta qua hình sắc
Cầu ta qua âm thanh
Là kẻ hành tà đạo
Không thể thấy Như Lai.]

ALL OF THE EXISTENT, CONDITIONED DHARMAS
ARE LIKE DREAMS, ILLUSIONS, BUBBLES, SHADOWS;
LIKE DEW AND ALSO LIKE LIGHTNING:
THUS SHOULD THEY BE CONTEMPLATED."

[Tất cả pháp hữu vi
Như mộng huyễn bào ảnh
Như sương mờ điện chớp
Hãy quán chiếu như thế.]
